"Contraception/ Unprotected Sex"

About: Sexual Health Services - North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent (Open Clinic)

(as the patient),

I had an unprotected sex with a casual partner. I immediately called the next day to ask for contraceptive options. After 5 days, I was able to attend my appointment with the GP but based on her assessment, I will not be able to have the IUD insertion and just had me take emergency pills and contraceptive pills.

Dear circinusrp77

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on the service you received. I am concerned about the length of wait you had to access our service and would like to apologise for the time it took for you to get an appointment. I can see you do now have contraception arranged but if you would like me to investigate why we didn't ensure you could be seen earlier, please email me your name, and date of birth and I will be happy to look into this for you.

Kind regards.
