About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Mermaid Centre

(as the patient),

I discovered a lump after my two excitable dogs caused a bruise on my right breast  I did think and hope that the bruise was the cause of the lump but when the bruise went and the lump remained - I got worried.

I saw the doctor and within 2 weeks I had been referred to the Mermaid to get it checked out.  Saw Mrs English who immediately put my mind at rest by agreeing that I was probably right in my assumption but still sent me for a mammogram and then an ultrasound to make sure. 

Just over 2 hours later - great news - it was as I thought, damage to the tissue from the bruise. I was dealt with quickly and with dignity and humour - very relaxed - what a lovely place with lovely staff in all departments I visited.  Thank you so much
