I am currently in the ENT (Ear Nose & Throat) ward of Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy. I was on a waiting list (Urgent List) and I was seen much quicker than I thought I would be.
I was made very welcome when I arrived at the hospital and didn't wait long to be taken to theatre. The anaesthetist I met was called Emily, she explained everything to me and was very very nice.
Initially I had been admitted to DSU (Day Surgery Unit) for a gall bladder removal. The staff there were fantastic.
After my operation I was advised by staff to stay in hospital overnight, it was then that I was transferred into the ENT ward.
It has been good in ENT, 100% good care. I have been well looked after.
The staff are always there to help. Toast and tea is always something to look forward to.
ENT is a very busy ward and patients are always attended to (The bed is very comfortable)
Overall the whole experience, although I was in hospital, has been made enjoyable.
I will be leaving hospital with a happier memory
