About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / General Surgery Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / General Surgery

(as a service user),

Reported to A&E with extremely painful abscess. Seen very promptly and admitted to hospital. Operation that evening despite very busy workload of surgeon.

Kept fully informed of all details of problem, what was required and expected outcome.

Excellent team who worked together with plenty of reassurance from multi-disciplinary team members.

Successful operation and moved to ward for recovery. Ward staff were excellent and provided a high level of professional individualised care.

A1 service provided by all staff involved in my care from Nurse Support workers to surgeon and operating staff.
