"Addiction recovery"

About: Inclusion Isle of Wight

(as a volunteer/advocate),

When I contacted Inclusion a year ago now, I was lost and spiralling downwards rapidly. They gave me the greatest support I could have possibly hoped for, completely non-judgemental encouragement, and helped me find my chosen pathway - from the experience of those who had been through a similar journey to what I had. I was always trying to be someone else, but that person wasn’t even who I’d thought they would be. Even though I was actually already more than good enough, I just didn’t know how to stop myself from messing it all up.

With help from this service, I finally got a plan, and broke on through to higher ground. My key worker helped me to take on board the idea of living life in a more fulfilling, joyful, and connected way, and with their help I was finally able to start  enjoying a more manageable existence, with far greater rewards.

Thank you to all of those at Inclusion who dedicate their lives to making other people’s worlds a better place to be. And, thank you for showing me  so much support along the way - in my quest to live more righteously, so differently than it was when I was going downhill (what seems like a long time ago now).

Hi Jason234

Firstly thank you very much for taking the time to feedback to our service and it’s so nice to hear that your experience is a positive one. Peers and identification are powerful when trying to achieve recovery and we have daily peer led groups which enable peers to get together and talk everything recovery. Also this runs alongside our structured groups and our therapy groups like photography and art. It sounds like you have put in a huge amount of work and are now reaping the benefits and it is our pleasure to be a part of that journey as we love what we do and every Wednesday we have a your voice feedback group where you are welcome to come and discuss your journey with our team of service user representatives and a member of our management team, this is every Wednesday 16:00 until 16:55. Again thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you soon and also wish you well with your continued recovery,

Many thanks from all of us @ Inclusion IOW J
