"Prompt response following a heart attack"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cardiology / Coronary Care Unit Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

I would like to thank and give positive feedback to all the staff involved at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary today. My father was taken in by ambulance to ED in Aberdeen with chest pains. After further investigation it was suspected that he suffered a heart attack.  The quick response from the paramedics, to him getting care within the department to being transferred to the Cath Lab, then ward 106, was outstanding and very much appreciated. I can't thank everyone enough.

Within 4 hours he was back on the ward and speaking, interacting. Today I was very thankful for the NHS, and all staff at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Dear MeMe81,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write to us following your fathers recent admission. I am glad to hear that your experience was a positive one and I will make sure that the nursing and medical teams in Cath Lab and Ward 106 get to see your post.

I do hope your father is doing ok and makes a good recovery.

Thanks again

Catriona
