Anything else?
My wife took ill on Friday 2nd Aug 2013, I called the 111 service and after reading all the bad press, did not know what to expect. They were quick to form a picture of what was going on with my wife and dispatched an ambulance very quickly, I later found that one had to be diverted from Eastbourne, the crew were professional and treated her enough to dispatch her to Conquest Hospital Hastings A&E. very quickly. The A&E staff were caring knowledgeable and quickly made her comfortable enough for the A&E doctor to examine her, she was later transferred to the AAU. The doctors and nursing staff were great and I have nothing but praise for them, they soon got to the cause of her problem enough for her to be treated at home and was discharged four days later with clear and understandable instructions as to how we would manage her. My sincere thanks to the 111 service, A&E and AAU doctors and nurses, without them I do not know what might have happened to her, teamwork at it's best and a model of good practice.
