"Great care in A&E"

About: Poole Hospital / Accident and emergency South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I was admitted to A & E with a possible heart attack. I feel that the care I received was exemplary. Starting with the ambulance team of Jade and Russ who put my mind at ease with their friendly and efficient manner.

Once I  was transferred to the A&E team the excellent care continued. I was looked after in a way that I (and my impressed wife) were not expecting. So I would like to thank the whole team but especially Kyle, Dan, Marius and Chloe and anyone else involved in my care.

Dear ‘KernelKevin’

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, which I am sure at the time felt quite traumatic, so it is good to hear that you felt you were in the safe hands of Jade and Russ from the outset.

It is also good to know the handover between the SWAST team and our Emergency Department was smooth and the care continued to impress both you and your wife.

We hope that in the proceeding months your health has improved and you have not required the support of SWAST or ED, but it is a comfort to know it is there when needed and you can be supported by the likes of Jade, Russ, Kyle, Dan, Marius and Chloe.

We will share your kind comments with the ED team, who I am sure would want to wish you well.

Regards

Patient Experience Team

Good afternoon

Apologies for the delay in responding to your story but thank you so much for providing us with feedback on the service you received, it is much appreciated! We are so glad to hear that you were well looked after, though I am sorry that you had to experience this at all.

For confidentiality, your patient information is redacted on this platform and so we cannot find the details of your incident, we would love to pass your message onto the Ambulance crew who attended you and so, if you would be willing to share some additional information, please could you email compliments@swast.nhs.uk with your name, date the ambulance arrived, address and thank you message, we will then ensure this is passed onto to the relevant crew.

Thank you again for taking the time to feedback and we hope you are recovering well!

Kindest regards,

Sami
