"The carers who come in are professional and friendly"

About: Older People Community Services / Home Care

(as a carer),

My father has needed personal care at home since last November.

Initially a private provider was scheduled to complete his am and pm call.  Due to issues with this provider we asked for a change and the Home Care service from BHSCT took over his 2 calls each day. They have been like a breath of fresh air coming into the home. My parents have gone from dreading the carer visits to looking forward to the staff coming into the home.

They act in a professional and friendly manner at all times and nothing is too much bother. They also ensure that my mother is alright at each visit after they have completed my dad's care and she looks forward to that few minutes of conversation with the staff.

Mary, Joanne, Bronagh and Jeanette are the main carers who come into the home and we cannot thank them enough for all they do for my parents.
