"Mealtimes"

I recently stayed in Barnstaple Hospital for a week and Exeter Hospital for a week. I cannot complain about the treatment or staff, it was wonderful. 

However, the one problem I experienced is around mealtimes. The staff would come in the morning and take the lunch order. However, at the time of lunch being delivered, I would either be being taken for some treatment or already be having treatment away from my bed, so not being able to eat my lunch. As well as this, there were occasions when I was not in my bed to give my teatime order, which resulted in me having a cheese sandwich for tea, and sometimes this being all I had had all day. 

I feel that there needs to be a system in place that accounts for inpatients having treatment at meal times as well as ensuring people have the chance to order their meals, even when they are not in their bed.
