"A star amongst a Team of stars"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I had a day surgery appointment for the Rezum procedure to ease the symptoms of an enlarged prostate. From registering on arrival at the New Stobhill Day Surgery department, through to my treatment in the Day Surgery ward, through anaesthetics, the procedure itself and my recovery, my experience was wholly positive - the whole Team was excellent.

I was understandably nervous, but at every stage all Team members took time to reassure me. When first taken back to the ward for recovery I was apparently snoring, which lead to an amusing waking ;-)

Having been fasting for almost 18 hours I was particularly grateful for the tea, biscuits and jam roll brought to me by Staff Nurse Chloe, who also briefed me on the procedure for changing my catheter bag. She was a star amongst a Team of stars.

Thanks so much to the whole Team for turning a potentially stressful experience into one that was very positive.
