"The glass was swiftly removed from my foot to my relief."

About: Arbroath Infirmary / Minor Injuries

(as a service user),

I went to Arbroath Infirmary Minor Injuries Unit as I had glass in my foot. The staff there could not have been any better. I did not have long to wait and the nurse was very professional and caring and used a numbing spray and the glass was swiftly removed from my foot to my relief.

Thanks to the NHS

Dear Maureen14

Thank you for taking the time to share your story on care opinion, its much appreciated, and I will share this with the rest of the nursing team.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a piece of glass in your foot that required removal in the Minor Injuries unit in Arbroath. This can be very painful, especially when trying to walk. Thankfully the nurse was able to remove the glass quickly and with minimal discomfort.

The nursing staff in the Minor Injury units in Angus always strive to ensure that we offer a professional and caring service. From your comments it sounds like this is exactly what you received on your visit.

I hope your foot has now improved and you are managing to walk about pain free.

Take care

Anne
