"Welcomed the moment I stepped foot in the ward"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Day Surgery Unit

(as the patient),

Last week I had a hysteroscopy in the day surgery unit of the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. From the moment I stepped foot in the ward I was welcomed!

I was very very nervous but that feeling soon diminished thanks to Sam & Sandie, the nurses looking after me that day. All the staff were amazing, the anaesthetists, the anaesthetic nurses (especially the one that held my hand as I was receiving the anaesthetic) the recovery room nurses and of course the gynaecologist who performed my procedure! Just everyone!

The care I received was outstanding! So thank you so much to you all! I'll definitely be back (hope not!)

Dear Handsethn99

Thanks for sharing your story on Care Opinion about the outstanding care you received at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. I am glad to hear that you felt welcomed the moment you stepped in the ward. I can appreciate you being nervous, so I am glad that Sam and Sandie were able to reassure you. It will be my pleasure to share this with the staff and I’d like to thank you on their behalf.

Best wishes and take care

Nicole
