"Reassuring smiles at reception"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Podiatry

(as the patient),

Attended 'School of Podiatry'for a consultation after referral from 'my' podiatrist via my GP (all a bit of a lengthy process for reasons I don't know) for further examination of 'bursar' or other on my big toe.

Check in at Reception - could have been a bit more welcoming: smile makes a difference and gives reassurance - however after I spoke about the dire experience finding a parking space in 'all the car parks are full on site - there was a lovely smile and interaction.

Dear Janey R

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback on Care Opinion.

I was sorry to hear you had some trouble with parking in our hospital. We are continually looking at ways we can improve access to our hospital sites so thank you for highlighting this to us.

I would fully agree a smile goes a long way especially when interacting with patients, often in very difficult situations.

I'm glad you were happy with the care and treatment you received from our staff.

I have passed on your thanks to the staff who have asked me to thank you for your kind words.

Kind regards

Kevin
