Anything else?
my late mother was admitted to Aintree university hospital on Friday 22/03/2012 for the third and final time having previously been admitted twice before suffering from a myocardial infarction and copd. my mother was sent home after approx. 10 days when she was put on home oxygen and various drugs. my mother was re admitted a few weeks later and was treated for her copd, she was sent home again after treatment because as she overheard "the bed was needed", on her final admission it was discovered she had developed pneumonia. whilst having treatment for this my mother then caught the CDIFF bug, she was placed in a side room where for the last week of her life she was left to her own devices unless me or members of my family asked the so called nursing staff to see to her. on the sunday before she passed away myself, and my son and daughter visited my mother in the afternoon, the door to my mothers room was ajar and has I looked in my mother was naked from her chest to her feet. I was so shocked and upset my daughter had to go into the room and cover my mother up! given this was a mixed ward (ward 22) I was disgusted to say the least. upon informing the nurses on duty of what had occurred a nurse went to address the situation with no apology, at this time my mother was non compos mentis thank god. my mother passed away the next day. this has been the first opportunity I have had to bring myself to write about the total lack of care and dignity afforded to my mother
"my late mother"
