My Nan was taken by emergency ambulance to A&E last week at Pinderfields.
From the reception to Resus to majors to AAU and including porters, doctors, consultant, reception staff, nursing staff, CT scan, catering the care was fantastic. Everybody I spoke to was happy to help nothing was too difficult.
The main thing I noticed was that they were all smiling, everyone was calm and professional and nan was informed of plans for her care.
It was a clean and welcoming environment and we all felt nan was in the safest place possible.
The nurse on duty on AAU was lovely, the consultant and team worked swiftly and she had a CT that evening.
Fortunately she was also discharged that evening.
As a nursing sister myself I understand the pressures of working in healthcare in the current climate however I feel very confident in the care you all provided for my nan that day. Thank You all.
