"Me and newborn son"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I went into labour at 36 weeks, so the expected plan of nice structured, planned birth didn't happen unfortunately.

I was very stressed, in pain and panicking, however the staff at Crosshouse were absolutely fantastic in calming me down significantly in the first instance- in particular initial midwife Lisa who was with me for the majority of time while operating theatre was prepared, and also her colleague who then joined her Ann-Marie. Both were epitome of midwifery professionalism and excellence.

I can only apologise I cannot remember the names of the theatre staff who carried out the section, as they all deserve praise too.

Once on the ward to recover, I'd like to acknowledge the care support from all staff, but in particular Laura, Victoria and Louise.

All of the staff from Crosshouse were excellent which should be recognised in these still difficult times.
