(as a carer),

My dad has been in ED since yesterday and has received excellent care from everyone. He has received all the investigations while in the department.

Despite the environment being very challenging due to too many patients, the staff are kind, respectful and providing wonderful care.

We would especially like to thank Nurse Vysakh. When he came to take my father's obs he introduced himself, asked permission and explained what he was doing. He was reassuring and professional.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback of your fathers experience in our department. The department has been experiencing problems with overcrowding in that when there are no admission beds, patients have to remain in ED for long periods of time until one becomes available. The Trust has issued new guidance to inpatient wards to deal with delayed discharges back to community and social care. This should create inpatient beds more quickly and reduce the number of bed waits. We hope your dad is recovering well.
