"Thank you for letting me see some light at the end of the tunnel"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as the patient),

I had been referred to ENT a while back as I had several symptoms or problems that had been getting progressively worse over time.

Without listing everything it included trouble breathing through my nose, breathlessness, loss of appetite. 

I was very worried about the appt. as these problems were/are severely affecting me daily and, if I'm honest, I was concerned i'd be fobbed off and sent away. 

Nothing could have been further from the truth. I was treated by a Dr Woodley at the unit and I can only say he was excellent...... Listened to what I had to say, put me very much at ease, gave me a thorough check and was generally just very professional and friendly. An absolute credit to the NHS. 

Explained his findings to me clearly, contacted my GP about a different medication and there will now be a follow up appointment with the same unit in a couple of months. 

I can't speak highly enough about Dr Woodley and his treatment of me. He's given me hope that there could be answers or reasons for these symptoms that have plagued me for so long now that I've forgotten what it's like to have a day where I don't feel ill or unwell.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of attending the ENT Department of the New Victoria Hospital.

I was delighted to hear the care and treatment your received from Dr Woodley and the team was of a high standard and your felt listened to and well cared for after your initial fears.

I was also pleased to hear you were given a thorough check and you have been provided with a follow up appointment with the same unit in a couple of months. This must be a massive relief to you.

I will share this feedback with the team, in particular Dr Woodley who I'm sure will really appreciate you taking the time to get in touch.
