"My hospital journey"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Accidents & Emergency

(as the patient),

My journey through Antrim ED was such a positive experience from triage to the area I was to be allocated for my care. As a patient I was well informed treated with dignity and respect . Received my treatment with speed and with great accuracy. My doctor at ED, Dr  Addy he was so informative and examined and explained everything to me in a level that I understood. Never talking over me but reassuring.

The sister and staff nurse on duty where extremely friendly and made me feel so much at ease as I was so so anxious. They explained everything to me. Their knowledge far extends their own roles. They juggle so many tasks but seemed to take it in their stride. I want to acknowledge that team and all the ED team which I came across on my journey I would have been lost without you.

You made me feel secure in your care and that is a skill. So today I want to lift up and praise this service that often gets knocked. These are hard working people, caring people who deserve recognition not just from me but the general public .

Again thank you. Thank you really isn't enough .
