I had a triple hernia operation at the Vale of Leven Hospital in West Dunbartonshire. I was admitted to the Day Surgery Unit.
I was met by a friendly receptionist and passed onto an incredible team of nurses who were professional, caring and empathetic in everything they done. They took time to listen and learn about me, constantly asking how I was, what my concerns were and explaining what would happen clearly and sympathetically, with no shortage of humour.
I then met with one of the two surgeons, the main man arriving a few minutes later. They took me through the procedures in a detailed yet easy to understand manner, clarifying my understanding throughout.
Next up were the anaesthetists, similarly professional, thorough and caring.
Off to surgery, I could not have felt in safer hands.
Nursing care on recovery was second to none with the Head Surgeon coming round to see me later in the day.
These people are the absolute salt of the earth, so professional and caring.
Thank you all for your unbelievable, first class service, in every way.
