(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

On Tuesday afternoon I was came into hospital and spent one night in a bed in A+E, then two nights in AMU and am now situated in a bed practically in the desk of 1 North. There is evidently a lack of beds as I am positioned in a corner practically, however I am not complaining as I am grateful to be in safe hands. I had an operation a number of weeks ago and I was feeling well after the successful operation however I started to take a turn so had to come back into hospital. I couldn't speak highly enough of every single member of staff that I have encountered, they have been brilliant. I have no idea when I am going to get home but want to thank all the staff for trying their best despite these difficult times.

Hi

Thank you for your very kind words about the staff. You are right we are working in very difficult times however we try not to let it affect the care in which we deliver. I am sorry that you had to spend time at the nurses station due to a lack of beds.

I hope you get home soon and recover well.
