Access & Information Service, please accept my sincere thanks for the delivery of the Books, Pencils, Jigsaws, Mindfulness and Crossword/Wordsearch Books to the Southern Area Hospice.
I had contact with Louise, Michelle and Sharon from the Access & Information Team and I want to thank you all most sincerely.
As a Chaplain in the Southern Area Hospice, I have found in particular the Mindfulness and Wordsearch Books, as well as the Jigsaws the most popular items enjoyed by our in-patients.
We now have a sufficient supply of jigsaws which we are able to re-circulate among our patients.
I wish to give you the thoughts of some of our recipients.
I hope, like me, you find these quotations from 4 different in-patients both rewarding and beneficial:
1. -I enjoy colouring in the various pictures. One of them in particular (it was one of fish) I am going to take out of the book, frame it and enjoy it when I get home.-
2. -The jigsaw I really enjoyed doing. It took my mind off myself and made me concentrate. However, there is one piece missing.-
3. -I really appreciate the large print in the Wordsearch and Crossword books you gave me.-
4. -I look upon this Mindfulness Book as an alternative medication.-
We are so grateful to your service for providing us with these well received well being resources for our in-patients.
Many thanks for the delivery of same.
Our Kindest Regards.
