Daisy Hill ICATS SN Ear Care appointment for above. Was due July 2000. Very long waits , supposed to be 6 monthly. Hearing was affected as have very narrow ear canals which are prone to blocking. Had phoned but waiting times and waiting lists have got ridiculously long for this much needed service.
Was delighted it was still the same nurse I had seen previously- represents all that is good about nursing. Efficient, friendly, thorough and skilled. Want to compliment service on it's staff.
Many other people also waiting though so want to ask why this service has not been given more sessions to clear the backlog caused by covid.
Given the demand and the increase in the numbers of elderly demand will continue to outstrip supply and satisfaction could be given simply for the want of minimal investment to purchase a few more sessions.
