Today I brought my 80 year old grandad in as he’d fallen at the home he lives in and they were worried he’d hurt his arm. The home called the frailty team first and let them know I would be bringing him in to be assessed. On arrival, they welcomed us in the unit. Such wonderful friendly staff and made grandad feel at ease, soon as we were in they offered him a drink and biscuit.
Once they gave him a cubicle, they came in to discuss why he was there and what they are going to carry out, constantly talking to grandad and reassuring him, as he’s has dementia can get very confused. The whole experience at the frailty unit was amazing, all the staff were just so lovely patient and caring towards grandad. I Just wanted to leave a review and recognise the care was 10/10 and would like to thank each staff member who was involved in grandads care today.
