(as a service user),

Upon my arrival to the Dame Carol Detox Service, as a nervous person,  I automatically felt very welcomed, which was nice as I suffer with anxiety. 

I have had a right laugh with the best kind of people.    Everyone has been so kind.   They have comfortable beds.  The staff check on you every half an hour to check you are okay;  they actually generally care for you, it's not just a job to the staff. 

I feel really lucky to have been given a place here to stay to help me detox from alcohol.  

For the first time, people actually believed in me and had faith in me.  As the days progressed, even the shyest of people gained confidence and engaged with others in a group setting. 

I have made some really good friends who I will stay in contact with because they understand your journey.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us feedback with regards to your treatment journey with us.

The team endeavour to always ensure your stay here is as comfortable as it can be so it's great to hear you felt the care you received from staff was excellent and really loved the new mattresses!

It's really lovely to see people coming out of their shell. As you mention, a lot of people arrival very anxious and reserved but once they're settled you see their confidence build and it's such a nice thing to witness.

We're really thankful for your feedback, I shall pass on your kind words to the team and we wish you all the best for the future.
