My brother had a bad stroke at the beginning of February 2022 and was admitted to Ward 56. The care he received during the 7 months he spent in this Ward was of the finest quality and standard. What the nurses did in this Ward humbled me, as their dedication and duty towards their patients was a tribute to their nursing. Patients in this ward required a very special type of caring - strokes are terrible and the time I spent there showed how many different ways it leaves people. From my experience, every patient was treated with compassion, care and dedication. To this mixture, there was a great feeling of everyone looking out for each other, which was instilled in the ethos of the ward and their student nurses, which contributed to the patients wellbeing. I saw student nurses confidence growing each day as I visited my brother daily. I felt the love and compassion built into the teaching of these students; a great platform to take with them not only in their profession but through their life. Thank you Ward 56 and I mean it, thank you one and all.
Sorry for the long delay in sending this but unforeseen circumstances got in the way. My brother's speech is progressing and he is improving all the time.
