I fell and broke my ankle in three places whilst walking in the Peak District a week ago. Friends brought me to A&E at Chesterfield Royal hospital and I was seen almost immediately by a doctor and after manipulation to put my foot back in place, I was admitted pending an operation to put in pins and plates.
All the staff, from the cleaners to the surgeon have been really kind, with nothing too much trouble for them.
