I managed to seriously burn my foot with hot water at work and I never felt good at all☹️
Dear Chris,
Thank you for your referral to ward 45 burns unit.
I have an appointment and I am currently waiting to go in to see the specialist.
I can't thank you enough for your kindness and compassion towards myself with regards to my injury.
Without your knowledge and vision I would have had to visit my GP which can be very frustrating.
It's good to know there still is an NHS when you need it most.
Update.
My appointment went very well and I was attended to by the lovely Joanne.
She has cleaned, applied one of their potions and redressed. Going back on Monday.
I will be taking off at least the next two weeks to allow this to heal.
Many Thanks again for your care.
Also, on the day of my accident
Nurse Jackie (known to her colleagues at RAH A&E) dressed my wound. I can only praise her for her excellence and professionalism and how she reassured me of my injury. Her kindness and understanding should not go without praise from her superiors.
After two dressings at A&E I was referred to my GP. Unfortunately, this experience wasn't as pleasurable. I was greeted by one of the practice nurses that was to redress my injury. All I can say about this is it did not go well. Say No more.
I believe it is time we, the General Public, tax payers, were allowed back to see our GPs by booking an appointment for face to face visits. How can you see a Nurse but Not a Doctor?
