"Efficient, professional and kind"

About: Victoria Hospital / Rapid Access and Discharge

(as the patient),

I was referred by my GP last week because of unsteadiness, & deafness in my left ear.  I arrived at RADA ward 8 VHK at my appointment time & was met with an exceptionally kind Nurse S/N Anne, who recorded all my details & carried out all tests required. I was then seen by the Consultant who again carried out a further exam & my health history.  When this was done I was asked to attend X ray dept where a CT Scan was performed along with  a chest x-ray. I returned to Ward 8, where the consultant explained the findings of my scans. As a retired Nurse of 33 years practicing within NHS Fife I was so impressed with the efficiency, professionalism & kindness shown  to me.

We as a country are the most fortunate of people to have access to all the expertise & wonderful facilities that are available to us for FREE, so we must appreciate all we have in the NHS.

Thank you, Thank you, NHS Fife.

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear that you were unwell and had to attend the Ambulatory Unit, but delighted you found the service you received to be efficient, professional and that the kindness Anne and the consultant displayed made the appointment easier.

As the lead for the ambulatory unit, I will be delighted to pass on your comments to Anne and the consultant, and really appreciate you taking the time to post your feedback.

Thank you,

Lorna Brocklesby
