"Certain things could be better"

Things have been alright on Male Medical, however there are certain things that could be made better. The staff attitude has been alright and I have been comfortable enough. The ward has been kept spotless. I also had a room on my own for a while which was nice. However, sometimes you ask a nurse to do something for you and they tell you they will but don’t actually come back, e.g. there has been numerous times I have asked for a coffee and never gotten it. I do understand that the staff are under pressure and very short staffed however. Also, the blind in the ward doesn’t work as it won’t go up which is a bit annoying.

When it comes to the food, it has been good. Although it can be a bit repetitive after a while – a few more options on the menu would be nice. Finally, I find the shower can be far too pressurized – it would almost knock you down and I know several patients who are refusing to use it for this reason. However, on the whole my stay has been alright and all the staff have been very nice.
