"Great respect for staff treating me"

About: Haematology / Ward 34 Oncology / Five Day Unit - Chemotherapy

(as a service user),

I returned to Ward 34 @ Ninewells after six years of remission from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Thanks to regular checks the return of this was spotted at the early stage and my new treatment started. I have great confidence in the staff in this department. After my 5th chemo session I had a high temp and was admitted to the ward and given the best of care very quickly. As a result of this my 6th chemo session was able to go ahead. I have great respect for the hard working professionals who have treated me. Special mention to Mr Meiklejohn my consultant and nurse Bernadette.

I work as a Lead nurse within the Triumvirate structure for Specialist Services. I provided Leadership and Professional Nursing support to the following teams: Renal, Oncology, Haematology, Neurosciences (which include Neurology, Neurosurgery and all linked specialities), Genetics, Radiology, Advanced Intervention Service and Pain Service in addition to this I also provide Professional support to Stracthro Regional Treatment Centre
