"Need for patient-centred visiting"

About: Airbles Road Centre / Old age psychiatry

(as a relative),

My dad was moved from UHW for ongoing rehab to Strathclyde ward at Airbles Road Motherwell.

This unit operates a visiting policy akin to something from many years ago. Set visiting 3-4pm and 7-8pm.

My dad is frail, has dementia and where are NHS values - dignity, respect, patient centred care? Tell me why this unit has not moved with the rest of Lanarkshire to open visiting, allowing for these values to be embedded on a daily basis.

Dear branxt36,

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback on visiting at the Strathclyde Unit, Airbles Road. We always want to make things better for patients and their families and appreciate all feedback. It would be helpful if you could contact Patient Affairs at University Hospital Wishaw, who oversee the Airbles Road site, so that they can gain further insight.

Kind Regards,

Jenni
