"Ambulance service casualty andMHDU Wishaw Hospital"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Ambulance Control Centre Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Wishaw / Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU) University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

At the start of February I called 999 for my husband. He was having difficulty breathing sweating and pale. 999 stayed on the phone until the ambulance came. They were there with a few minutes. They tried to stabilise him but called for help another crew were there again in a few minutes. In just about one hour from the first call my husband was admitted to resus. Staff in casualty were fantastic and he was admitted to high dependency were he stayed for5 days. I cannot praise all staff for their care. From 999 operators to ambulance crews and all staff in the hospital. You are all an inspiration and show true dedication. Thank you all for everything

Dear jupitermr64

Thank you for sharing your story. It must have been a very frightening time for you.

It is lovely to hear such positive feedback and I do hope that your husband is feeling better.

If you would like me to pass on your thanks to the call handler and the ambulance crew that attended may I ask that you contact our Patient Experience Team at sas.fedback@nhs.scot with your name, Care Opinion username, your husband's name and the date and address we attended.

Kindest regards

David
