"I don't feel my psychiatrist is interested in helping me"

I attended the Department of Psychiatry today at the Jeanie Deans Centre Helensburgh. I have been attending since June last year and feel the psychiatrist is not interested.

On several appointments he has stated he is more looking at elderly patients who have maybe early stages of more serious illnesses. Today I had to leave the hospital to phone my GP and ask her to refer me to a psychiatrist that is younger who I can talk to. I feel sick having to continue going when I am not getting the sufficient hep I am actually there for. He was more interested in my other medication that I am on rather than the ones he had prescribed.
