Anything else?
I attended A&E yesterday after falling. The waiting area was quiet and was seen by the nurse and sent for xray very quickly where the radiographer was amazing and complealty put me at ease. Had to use a chair to be wheeled about by my friend who came with me and staff were helpful with that. However once again i was seen quickly and xray revealed that my anckle was just badly sprained and there were no breaks and would be sent home. What the nurse didnt notice was that i have a broken and twisted toe which i had to ask her to look at again....it was bent out of place so she re examined the xray with a colleague and it was confirmed. Now my problem is i can not weight bare and have been sent home with no crutches, i am having to crawl every where! Was told i could have my toe strapped up into a streight position for cosmetic reasons however unless its dislocated they wouldnt streighten it! If it doesnt go back streight i wont be able to wear shoes as it would heal overlapping my big toe. Rather cross that such a streight forward visit was ruined by someone being so flippant and dismissive of my injuries which are complicated by pre existing conditions.
