Anything else?
I gave birth to my baby girl in early January 2013. Throughout my entire pregnancy I was offered faultless services relating to everything involving having a baby. On the several occasions that I had worries, my concerns where investigated quickly and thoroughly. I was never made to feel like I was wasting anyone's time. The care I received was always respectful and sympathetic. As I was 10 days late, I had to go in for an induction and the care I received from entering the hospital until I left some 6 days later was exceptional. I lost a lot of blood during the birth but the Doctor delivering my baby was calm and the combined professionalism of all the staff went along way to making sure what could of been quite a traumatic experience feel very under control. The midwives, Doctors, Nurses, Paediatricians, Baby Nurses and everyone in-between, were all phenomenal. I felt safe and cared for and was entirely certain that my baby was in the best possible hands. Since leaving I have had fantastic home care from midwives and health visitors and on the 1 occasion that we took our baby back to the hospital, our concerns were taken very seriously and investigated thoroughly. We are moving soon and a top priority for me was to be within the same walking distance of this hospital, a- for the convenience I appreciated during my pregnancy and b- because I very definitely would like to give birth in the Whittington Hospital again if I am able to have a second baby. I have been meaning to write this review for some time and after I found out today that the Maternity ward is being considered for closure I'm writing it straight away. I actually feel a bit panicky at the thought of not being able to use the Whittington again, this was how good I felt my treatment was. Thank you so much for looking after myself and my baby, and please don't close the maternity ward!!!!
