Anything else?
I have been a patient at the James Paget for at least 27 years having a serious long-term illness, visiting as a day patient and also as an in-patient ( and probably impatient as I am not known to suffer fools gladly), and I have also visited other hospitals in London as an outpatient. My family are quite frequent patients as well, as we all have an hereditory disorder. My grandchildren were born there, and my parents also spent their last days in the Paget very happily receiving the best attention possible. In all that time, we have been treated with great care and attention, and made to feel that we were listened to, and that our comfort and dignity mattered. In particular, the personal attention I receive at the Sandra Chapman centre is exemplary: the staff are the very souls of kindness without losing any of their incredible professionalism. I have seen patient numbers rise to staggering heights, but never has the quality of care ever faltered. A recent emergency outpatient admission in the evening saved my sight as I suffered a retinal tear, and I received laser surgery within an hour and a half of reaching A&E. Every department I have visited has shown the same excellent standard of care, and I cannot praise the James Paget Hospital enough.
"A caring personal service"
