I was delighted with the care I received when I recently had jaw replacement surgery at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The pre assessment staff are fantastic at putting you at ease and answering any questions I had. My pre operative experience was excellent. The anesthetist listened to my concerns carefully and arranged an excellent management plan with me. He was very kind and reassuring. I felt I was in safe hands. Mr Hasnad the surgeon had been excellent throughout my patient journey. He listened carefully and I felt that all my care was a partnership. He was compassionate and caring at all times. He answered my questions and was very reassuring.
My surgery went smoothly and I was looked after by excellent nurses in the recovery area. They were professional, compassionate and caring. After an overnight stay I was quickly and efficiently discharged home. The outpatient clinic experience was also excellent. An exceptionally busy clinic was very efficiently run.
I was reviewed by Dr Ilahi, she was kind, professional and compassionate. She spoke in a manner that was easy to understand. Dr Hasnad again gave clear and concise instructions on my ongoing management. I would like to thank all the staff involved in my care. They are all doing an amazing job in challenging circumstances. Dr Hasnad’s secretary also deserves a special mention, she is always very professional, pleasant and helpful whenever I have had any dealings with her.
