"The staff really do treat you right"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department Daisy Hill Hospital / Stroke Unit

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

After breaking my shoulder, I went to the Emergency Department at the Royal. My experience there was very good - the staff really do treat you right.

I was then transferred to Daisy Hill Hospital and onto the Stroke & Rehab ward. The staff have all been really good and explain everything very well to me. Every staff member has an immensely helpful attitude. The nurse who is on the ward today is absolutely great - she really doesn't miss a thing and gets everything done.

The ward itself has been very clean and comfortable. The only thing I have found a bit annoying is having to change rooms all the time but I get that it has to be done sometimes for infection control reasons. I also think there needs to be more information available on visiting times. Other than this, everything else has been grand.

Good afternoon

I am sorry to hear that you have been unwell I hope your recover journey isn't too long. Firstly I would like to thanks you for taking the time to provide the ward with feedback as thins helps us improve on our care and services. I will take your comments on board and communicate your thoughts to the staff. Going forward I will ensure staff provide more information to patients around visiting when they are admitted.

I am sorry to hear that you have had been more around on the ward I know it isn't ideal but unfortunately at times due to bed [pressures and infection control reasons patients need to be moved. When movement if required we will be more mindful of who is being moved that its not the same person.

Many thanks again Ursula
