"Polite, concerned and thoroughly professional."

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Emergency Department South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My wife had a stroke in the early hours of the weekend, after calling 999 an ambulance arrived within 20 minutes. The two paramedics John & Stuart were very thorough in their assessment of my wife’s condition putting both our minds at rest with their manner and professionalism, they then decided that she should go into hospital for further tests after which she was sent home.

Everyone involved, from the emergency call handler to the doctors and nurse in A&E including Treliske switchboard was polite, concerned and thoroughly professional.

In light of the current situation with staff shortages and industrial action etc., I was impressed at the level of service we received and we are so very grateful. I always say of the NHS that you only ever hear of the bad stuff. Whenever we have needed Treliske you have always been there for us and our family, I repeat we are eternally grateful for all you do for us and for our community.

Many thanks.

Good Morning,

Thank you so much for providing us with feedback on the service you received, it is much appreciated! I am so glad to hear your Wife was well looked after and that the paramedics were able to put your minds at rest at such a worrying time.

For confidentiality, your patient information is redacted on this platform and so we cannot find the details of the incident, we would love to pass your message onto the Ambulance crew who attended you and so, if you would be willing to share some additional information, please could you email plaudits@swast.nhs.uk with the patients name, date the ambulance arrived, address and thank you message - we will then ensure this is passed onto the relevant crew.

Thank you again for taking the time to feedback, I hope your Wife is recovering well!
