About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Elective Overnight Stay Centre/Gynaecology Ward

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I’ve been in from Friday. I came up from A&E. My doctor had referred me up to ED, so I really didn’t have too long to wait thankfully.

My stay on the ward has been very good. Everyone has been so kind to me. Very helpful nurses and nursing assistants. They are amazing. Eve, Bernie and Siobhan have been brilliant.

The doctors have been so helpful. Being very thorough.

The food is very good. Very tasty. I don’t know how anyone could say anything bad about the food in Daisy Hill, anything I have had to eat has been delicious.

The ward is great. Lovely and clean. There is always someone in cleaning about.

My only complaint would be that I don’t agree with the mixed wards. I think it was better when it was separate. I personally find it very uncomfortable.

But other than that, my experience has been rather good here in Female Surgical.
