Anything else?
I would just like to express how grateful I am to the superb team on delivery suite. My induction went awry with signs of fetal distress. Both the midwifery team and the doctors involved were superb. I was kept fully informed and given all the information I needed with the team working amazingly together to make the right decisions quickly. The theatre staff were great and made the whole experience relaxed (as much as an emergency c section can be). I never once felt out of control and for me that is one of the most important aspects. Thank you all so much! After care also went well with great support from the staff on Pannal Ward. The maternity support staff are also superb and the time they are able to spend is invaluable for first time mums. They were there to help at every turn! I am so glad that what we went through was at Harrogate District Hospital and that we have such a great team here. In relation to facilities, the conservatory is a great place to get away from the ward, being able to see the Stray makes it feel much less like being in hospital! The only thing i did find strange was the shared bathrooms on delivery suite. It didn't affect me as I was only in the delivery room for an hour or so and was hooked up to monitors and drips but i can imagine being in labour and not being able to access the facilites if they are in use could be somewhat distressing.
