"I cannot fault my care"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Cataract Unit

(as a service user),

I had very urgent cataract surgery a couple of weeks ago.  I cannot fault my care or the nurses/doctors involved. When I was in discomfort during the procedure, I was listened to.

My only complaint is that the main preparation area was really cold and the offer of a warm  drink after the procedure would have been most welcome.  As it was, I had to request a drink (cold water given)

Dear JeanieJo,

Many thanks for your lovely feedback regarding the care you were given from the nursing and medical staff.

I can only apologise that you felt cold in the main preparation area and we would normally offer patients a warm blanket if they are feeling cold.

It is reassuring to know that you felt listened to and I will share this with the team in Ophthalmology.
