After waiting a considerable time I finally got rehab. What a revelation!

I learned more in a few weeks than I had done in the previous years. For example -it’s good to get breathless, my condition need not necessarily deteriorate massively if managed well, how to breathe correctly, strengthening the legs ensures better availability of oxygen to the lungs.The list goes on.The staff were all warm and welcoming but knowledgeable and professional and definitely there to help, support,encourage and advise.

It was good to form relationships with people with similar conditions and also to exercise in a safe environment, push oneself in a controlled way and then enjoy informative talks and information gathering. I will be so sorry to finish the too short course.

Please please make available a regular exercise class for people with lung conditions in Gedling specifically. It would be an excellent investment in peoples health and mental well-being. It would also ultimately save time and money for the NHS.

Many thanks for your lovely feedback - I have passed your kind words onto the team, we will take your comments on board regarding making a regular exercise class available in the local area for people with lung conditions, we work closely with other agencies /partners to ensure there are exercises classes available, for patients who have completed the course, and are always looking at ways to improve access, hopefully we can look at developing something in partnership with these agencies in the near future.
