I wanted to leave a review based on my recent experience at the Alex Hospital, Redditch at Wards 14 and 15, the maternity unit. I had fantastic midwives taking care of me and the midwife who delivered my baby was so caring. She helped me in ward 14 then came with me to the delivery unit and delivered my baby, she even stayed after her shift had finished to see how much the baby weighed. We cannot fault the care we received, everyone we met in the hospital were supportive and caring. Our first baby was born at a different hospital and due to poor care ended up with severe cerebral palsy. The staff at the Alex were aware if our situation and understood why we were asking unusual questions. The midwife even brought the emergency equipment into the room so I knew it was there which also helped reassure me. Fantastic service and fantastic staff, thank you.
