I have had reason to attend Torbay hospital on 4 occasions recently. Once was an A & E visit, where I found the Doctor, on a Sunday morning, really went the extra mile to help me through my difficulty. She had a wonderful smile too which was so reassuring to me. I am at the present time undergoing some processes of elimination to see what is going on with me, and my main Consultant is just brilliant. She has been reassuring and very helpful. I feel confident I will be helped to find answers to my problems and hopefully a resolve. I needed to have two procedures carried out, of which again, the people involved treated me like a person, with dignity, and chatted to me throughout. I felt so at ease. I am a person who has no hesitation of putting pen to paper when things are wrong, so I felt I should also be willing to do the same when things are so right, so I wrote to the hospital Chief Executive to give details of my experience, and have received a letter, very promptly, stating that the people involved will be informed of what I have said. I hope it lifts their day and helps them continue being the people they are.
