"No physiotherapy appointment - daily pain"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

Anything else?

This is my husband's first experience of the NHS and he is shocked. He has daily pain in his finger and works with his hands. He was referred to Frimley Park over 2 months ago and has had no contact from the hospital, never mind an appointment date. When I called to chase and ask when we might hear a date, I was told in a sarcastic voice 'well I can't tell you, I am not the hand therapist'. Not helpful. I guess we just wait for the 18 week deadline and they will fit us in to avoid paying for private treatment. What makes it worse is that the doctor recommended this to try to prevent surgery - chances are he will need surgery and it will be delayed by an unknown number of months, all of which he is in pain. Oh, and Physiotherapy is not in the Services list in NHS.uk, so I can't check reviews.
