"A&E visit"

About: Torbay Hospital

Anything else?

Hello, I just wanted to say thank you for the excellent care received by my father-in-law when he was brought in to A&E by ambulance last Saturday night following a nasty fall on Paignton seafront. From the ambulance team through the staff in A&E and on the EAU3 ward the next morning, everyone treated us with great care and professionalism. I'd liked to mention in particular the Healthcare assistant who looked after Dad throughout the night and was very supportive re his concerns about his wife's dementia and incredibly careful and thorough in cleaning and applying 60 plus steristrips to his many skin wounds. Wilf is doing well and the episode has had a positive outcome in that he has agreed to have some home help in the future. I'd be grateful if you pass on our thanks and praise to the staff as people as so often quick to criticise but not to praise, and we are very grateful. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. It was really good to hear that the care and treatment your father-in-law, Wilf, received in both our A&E and EAU3 ward reached the standards that we constantly strive to achieve. Your comments are being forwarded to the matrons for both wards so that they can be shared with the staff. It was very good of you to take the time to provide this feedback, which our staff will no doubt appreciate. We are glad to hear that Wilf is on the mend and thank you again for your comments.
