You hear a lot of horror stories about the CIC which I experienced none of in my 5 night stay. I was brought by ambulance to A & E after breaking my leg in the early hours of Sunday morning and I was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. No one made assumptions about me being drunk and falling over :) I was admitted to Maple D, had an operation the next day then moved, through to Maple B to recuperate. All the staff were brilliant, kind, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much for them, which was great as I needed to use a bedpan for the first few days of my stay! The wards were very clean.
